Parquet Borders Foyers Flora/Fauna Kitchens/Baths Mixed Media Etc Libraries/Museums Our Process Contact Home Pas de Deux Zen Cat Horses Portrait This “game room” featured a cape buffalo head over the fireplace and the client wanted a jungle theme carried out in the floor. The zebra wood border features the paw prints of a lion who walked in one door, wandered the perimeter of the room and exited through the far door. As we were inlaying the pug marks, Tom jokingly suggested that the lion stop in one corner, squat briefly, and then continue its journey. The client almost fell off his chair laughing and said, “Do it!” Never did we imagine that our research would include lion scat, but here it is, inlaid in the floor. “We’ve never met anyone who didn’t have valuable insights and contributions to make to the design process. For us, half of the fun, and half the frustration, is in drawing out that creativity and producing a final design that is clearly the result of a collaborative effort.”
